Legacy of the March Series | |||
Legacy of the March The "Legacy of the March" Series was established in order to bring some of the great older marches into a more accessible format for the concert bands of today. There are many factors that make the performance of these older marches difficult in their original setting. The first obstacle is that many of the pieces were originally printed on 5" by 7" paper, making the parts most difficult to read at times. There was also the absence of a full score, as well as several individual parts that were not in the correct transposition for today's concert band instrumentation. It has been our goal to eliminate these obstacles by bringing these outstanding marches to you in this current series designed for performances with modern bands. Articulations and dynamics have been made uniform, but the original scoring of the composers has remained basically intact. | 2007 Releases INDEPENDENTIA - R.B.
